Troubles, Troubles

Well, my motherboard fried. Yep! It bit the big one. Not fun... In the meantime, like everyone else, we're really strapped for cash. Not fun, either.

I know this is a short one, but here's to hoping the holidays bring things close to better.

Happy 4th of July!

One of our fave holidays, here. But it seems we have a bunch of partypoopers. Fireworks are being fined if they leave the ground (no big surprise there) or fit some other set of specs. Milwaukee is worse. If a kid has a sparkler, they get fined $500. If their parents are caught, the fine goes up. How's that for celebrating our Independence Day?

They're finally right.

Well, I finally got my ritual prayer beads to turn out right. Tiger's Eye, Smokey Quartz, and Fossil Agate turned out to be what I needed.

Other than that, other news has happened. But that's already, literally, been on the news. LOL The boy was cruisin'. Apparently, Mom and Dad do know some things. Problem... He'll push until he finds out himself. *groan*

One of those Days

Yes, it has been and it's still early. The newest battle of the day, waged by my stubborn sons, has already been fought. Of course, no one won it.

I've changed the book list and added a few new links and books.

Maybe I'll be on later and, possibly, finish this post?

Good New? Bad News?

Let's see... Well, hubby has been laid off, but will probably get called back. Business was slow enough to let one employee go. In the meantime, unemployment (not enough, if you ask me) is helping and he's looking for work. So, I guess it isn't all bad. Just tough.

Good news... Winter has finally lost its grasp on the Great Lakes region. YES! Still cool, but that's okay. I'll deal. It's comfortable enough to live with. Now, the whole area is in a tizzy with Tornado awareness, lightning awareness... LOL I wonder when earthquake awareness will come up. The one in Southern Illinois was felt up here. Someone from the west coast would be right at home here except for the other odd weather we end up with.

And, next month I turn one year older within one week of Mother's Day. Yahoo... It could worse. :) In the meantime, it's one day at a time, one thing at a time. That works.

My Complaint

Okay. Basic complaint here. When will winter let go?! It has been relentless. Just when I think we've had a decent thaw and it warms up, we get cold again and end up with more snow, rain or both.

The up and down, cool down and warm up have the river flooding. The bypass and generator output are running higher than when we first moved here. Needless to say, the cabin fever has been yo-yo.

Umm... Mother Nature? Can you make old man winter let go? I'll thank you in advance.

Hi!!! LOL Glad you called, hon. Things are okay here. The boys are getting cranky and want winter to end in a bad way... I can't blame them one bit.

Thought you might want to see the roses I was talking about. 5.00 for 4 of them isn't bad. They are just gorgeous!

I'll try to get a letter out as soon as possible. I'll put that dream in it, too. Let me know what you think of the one on here.

Notes From the Crazy Side

Got a dream for you to mull over.

You, the boys, me, Gary and someone I didn't know where in a house that felt like home. We'd been having some odd things happen around the place. You and me had noticed it first and one of the things that had become common was a spray bottle getting picked up and played with. Well, toward the end of it, we were getting ready to go somewhere and I went in to my bedroom. The spray bottle was picked up and thrown at me. I yelled for you or Gary. You came racing in and pulled a nice little spell just as whatever had thrown the bottle showed itself. It looked like a warped out dog, black with red eyes. Your spell had put a harness, collar and leash on it. The next thing out of my mouth was, "Who opened a gate?!"

I have no idea where this dream came from and I'm not sure I want to know how I knew it was a gate. Maybe I was thinking of you a little too hard.

Anyway, I thought you might like to see what my long-legged, almost 13 yr. old looks like now. LOL He kind of reminds of a gawky colt with those long legs.


Here's one of Aaron, now 10. He's still a little on the short side, but I can see eye-to-eye physically with Gary. But, they both always were on the small side compared to most kids.

I can't wrap my head around it. She thinks she's going to dabble in what takes any real Wiccan time to learn? Good grief... Wannabes are worse than teenaged newbies. I sincerely hope she didn't look up witchcraft in general. She'll burn everyone else along with her. Book of Shadows... LOL I don't know about Brigid, but Morrigan might have a heyday with her. Or we could give her to Kali... *looking innocent while humming* Nah. She'd wouldn't last with that particular dark Goddess.

Well, I hope you are sitting down for this. Thee wench came up to the library yesterday, she had Taz and his wife Michelle bring her up here so that I can take her to see the lady who done John's taxes. Come to find out, she didn't need to come up here the woman had already told her over the phone that the IRS was taking out $1200 for the food stamps office from last year. Nice huh?! The thee wench went to library with me and was looking up on their catalog index for .....get this.......Book Of Shadows. Brigid, Morrigan and Hecate are all probably up in arms!! Thank the Lord and Lady they don't have that here. I was in total shock. Now she wants to "dab" in it. Needless to say today I brought all of my books with me. Taz is bringing me over one of his books to look at. He is also Wiccan. Be expecting an letter. I love ya!! Give them guys a hug and kiss for me

That is wild. You were due for some good going your way. LOL I have to ask though. What are you going to do with 3 pendulums? I don't see you developing a third arm. I'm glad you found another pentagram necklace, though. I've been looking for one and always seem to just barely miss getting my hands on a nice one we can afford. That bites.

I'm happy you got the letters. I wasn't sure with the disappearing mail you'd see them. It wouldn't surprise me if they thought I'd send something they could try to make their own. As for what was written on the inside flap, I put it in the letter. LOL It's a lot easier to read it there. I'll add that to the good fortune rune I put on the outside of the envelope from now on. That should provide a boost to the usual.

Aaron will be 10 on the 29th. Time flies when you have kids! He's got this looooong list but, we're definitely working on a few things for him. One of which may be a replacement for what he already has. Ross is already pretty well set and is getting anxious. He wants to get started so badly. For him, 13 can't come soon enough.

On the practical front, I've been looking for work that I can do from home and most likely online. It's amazing how there is and how much of it may be not-so-legitimate. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. Outside of that, we're still not too badly off. We could be better though.

I do have a couple of ebooks that you and Chris might find useful. One is Maiden Moon and the other is A New Walk Down an Old Path: Dragon Tradition Wicca. Both are good reads and their sites are down now. Just let me know if it interests you guys.

Great Strange Day

Hey Sis!

Well, today I have had a wonderful morning so far! I had to take Bill to work and do a few errands then stopped at this one place that I just recently found. Its called Angels (something), anyhow they have alot there that I need. I went to buy one of the little packs of sage and keep grabbing the one that has a stick in it about 4-5 inches long. I put it back and went to pick up the other one, well I ended up buying both. LOL It didn't want to stay it wanted to come with me. I also had the store owner tell me she has a pentagram for me at a reasonable price. $9.95 and will hold it for me til next Thursday when my husband gets paid. Then as I am walking out the door she tells me "Look at what you did!!" I turned around thinking I knocked something over.....well, I had walked past the pendulums and they were all moving and 3 of them were moving rapidly. I bought one, the other two......being held for me. LOL Nice huh?! Well, I am writing you a letter. I did get the two of yours but couldn't read what was on the inside. I will be sending it out shortly. Love ya!!

Hey Sis!

Well, me g & c....yeah right, its never peaceful or quiet enough for me to. Serenity corner....whats that....ain't got no privacy. I have been trying to do some g & c when I can and it has helped I been busy with "helping" with the kids, especially Little James, boy is he as onery, every chance he gets he gives them hell. LOL Whats funny is that James wasn't like that at all or Christopher. I have been using the beads and carrying them on me at all times, along with my medicine bag. Boy do I need it!! When did you send me the letter? They have been getting the mail and we only get what they want us to get. Yeah I know I gotta do something about the retrival of lost items. Thats okay on my BOS I put the elements symbols and so far nobody has gone into it along with a warning on it. I also went and took a $1.00 bill and put the air symbol on it and it seems to be working because on the way here I just found a $10 bill in my purse and don't know where it came from. I have to thank the Lord and Lady tonight.

Well let me know when you send me the next letter, its kind of hard to call with hardly any money even for a lousy .50 cents phone call. We are all good though, and will keep in touch.

That visit may been from the old woman who has been telling me to get the hell out of the house and I told her as soon as we get the money we will be. Also get this....Mike....Chipcher's brother showed up in a recent dream telling me the same thing. The end of january isn't coming fast enough.

I did get a letter out to you. It must not have made it or it vanished. I'll get another one I'm working on right now out to you. As for vanishing items, maybe a retrieval spell is in order, hon.

I'm glad to hear you'll be getting somewhere calmer. LOL Where better than near the Tribal Council of the Southeastern Cherokee. Maybe you can finally set up a serenity corner. Which begs the questions and I probably already know the answers... Have you been getting in any G & C? Have been able to use the beads to do that? Are you keeping a leash on your temper? LOL No, No (because of the first no.) and no.

I've had a little chaos of my own. A couple, three weeks ago, I had a guest. Not the good kind. I was half asleep and had cracked an eye open for some reason. There was a figure floating and reaching out for me. Now, you know me. I'm not usually bothered by this stuff, but some reason this one did. There was an outline, in white, of a person. I couldn't tell who or what it was. Well, when it touched me, I freaked. I don't panic! I did this time. Told it to leave me alone and back off twice, it didn't. So, I burned the the thing away from me with clear hot flames. If you're not sitting, do so now... It screamed when I crispy-crittered it! Not a human scream. It was something like a high-pitched frequency and it was in pain. I don't think it was good thing, sis. I don't call on spirits. I don't play with that kind of magic. Why was it drawn to me? I still haven't figured that out. Anyway, I've done a cleansing and shielding and no more visitors... Thank the Gods.

It's been quiet and tight here in other areas. Aaron's birthday is on the 29th. Ross will be 13 in March. Aaron will be easy to get for. It won't be expensive, but he'll make out like a bandit! Ross was a bit tougher to figure out something for. But I did come up with something. He has a blogger account, too. So I'll send it in a letter or an email. I'm open to suggestions since I have time, yet.

How's the spirit activity going there? I'm thinking you're still getting some really freaky stuff. Makes me wonder if something there was using you to reach out to me, now that I think about it. Duh!

Chaos and Mayhem

Well, chaos and mayhem has officially erupted here. LOL We are doing well though. Little do people know we will be moving out soon like the beginning of next month. I have been invited to move down to Old Town to be near the Tribal Council of the Southeastern Cherokee's. It will be alot more better and calmer, too much negativity where we are at along with lying and stealing from people. A beautiful knife with wolves were bought for me and has came up missing along with my denim jacket with the wolves on the back that I have had for over 3 yrs. Hey Sis, if you have sent me a letter in the past couple of months let me know because I haven't received anything in the mail.

Well, a wild, strange year has passed and it doesn't look like the new one is going to be very sedate either! Lots of religious news flying around, not to mention politics getting all tangled up with religion. Makes me wonder how things are going to turn out.

I am looking forward to a birthday this month and one in March. Time flies when you're a parent. Then yours rolls around and you truly realized how long it's been! LOL Ah well. I don't feel that old, so I'll say I'm getting younger.
